Projects and Reports: Basics

Adding Location Info to my Photos

From Site Audit Pro 8.10.0 onward, it’s possible to access the location of photos when they’re added. When available, this location information will allow the longitude and latitude to be displayed on the photos of your final PDF Report, just above the timestamp.

You can enable this within the app via your Report Settings - we have further information on how to do this here: Changing Options for your Report

Note: Photos added in previous versions of Site Audit Pro do not have location information saved so will not display location on generated reports. Location data is taken from an image's data so if your image is not taken with your device camera, it may not have location information included. This data is only used for the purposes of printing the location on the generated PDF Report.

Granting the App Permission to use Location.

To allow Site Audit Pro to access this information please ensure you have granted the app access to your location. You will be prompted to do this the first time you use the in-app camera after installing the 8.10.0 update. Once you have granted access the location will automatically be added when a photo is selected.

If you didn't allow Site Audit Pro location access, or if you needed to reset the setting at any point, you can also access these settings through your device Settings by doing the following:

  1. From your device's home-screen, open the device Settings.
  1. Find and tap "Site Audit Pro".
  1. Tap "Location". This will take you to the screen below. (If this is not displayed, try taking a photo within the latest version of Site Audit Pro and you should be prompted to allow Location access)If you want Site Audit Pro to make use of your location data, please ensure the settings are as shown in the screenshot.
